An exploration in brand design for a fictitious music festival for a class project.

Overview
The objective of this project was to draw from defining characteristics and emotions associated with 2 assigned music genres to create a memorable, unique festival logo and subsequent asset designs for an idea of a music festival. For my project, I designed the branding for “Portland Soul” a fictitious music festival that combines Alternative/Indie and Soul music genres.

Mission Statement
Portland Soul is a 3-day outdoor music festival located in Portland Oregon, a city known for its love of alternative rock and its rich history of soul culture. Portland Soul is designed to celebrate love and radical joy by bringing together people of color in and around Portland, Oregon to a peaceful and joyful gathering surrounded by all the funk and beauty Portland has to offer.
